Walk a Mile in My Shoes
Our annual run/walk fund raiser has a new date, a new course and a new theme. The design was created by Aurora Bodine won our first annual poster design contest.
Walk a Mile in My Shoes will start at 10am at our Teal Street Housing and offices, 8617 Teal Street.
It is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026. Both the 5K Run and Walk start at 10:00 am. Both the walk and the run start at the same place and time. A new 3 lap 5km running course and mile walk course will highlight our neighborhood. Both courses will end at our Shelter on Teal Street with tours and hot dog lunch provided.
Location: St. Vincent de Paul Housing and Shelter, 8617 Teal Street, for registration
Distance: 5km run, long and short walking courses that start at the Teal Street Shelter and head to our Thrift Store.

Proceeds help raise funds for and awareness of the services that St. Vincent de Paul offers to help the poor in Juneau. People may donate online (hit the donate button on our web page) or in person at the Thrift Store where we will be able to accept cash, check, or credit card.
