Dear Friends of St. Vincent de Paul Society,
Please consider donating to our Spring Ozanam Fund Drive.
We are entering Holy Week and nearing completion of our 40 days of Lent. We will soon celebrate the Easter Octave and begin our Spring Ozanam fundraiser this year. It is not too late for almsgiving!
On April 26th we celebrate Ozanam Sunday. We remember the lives of St. Vincent de Paul, our patron and Frederic Ozanam, the founder of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Your support enables us to continue fulfilling our mission: to provide material and spiritual charity and work for social justice! Funds for our charitable works and direct aid to our neighbors in need, come from donations, individuals, local businesses, and our Thrift Store.
Since 1984 the Society of St. Vincent de Paul has served our community. We have a dedicated team of 25 staff and numerous volunteers. We offer aid through our Home Visit Team, community resource navigators, and our special assistance programs for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We own and manage 101 apartments for low-income households of all types. These are located in five buildings in downtown, Douglas and the valley. We also manage the Warming Shelter for the City and Borough of Juneau.
This winter, we served an average of 45 people per night at the Warming Shelter. In 2025, we provided safe housing for 26 families including 58 children at our shelter. We conducted 120 home visits assisting over 290 folks with over $39,000 in direct aid and connecting people to many larger grants and sustainable services. Our community navigators used grants to place 80 households into sustainable rental housing. In addition, we assisted over 250 walk-ins at our office, provided 20 bus passes each month, distributed 520 Thanksgiving baskets and provided Christmas presents to 352 children through our Adopt-A-Family program.
With all the snow that has fallen this year, we have significant expenses for snow removal, including having to shovel the roof of the thrift store with some damage to gutters and property.
Your contribution will enable us to cover these additional costs and continue to assist families and individuals with rent, utilities, food and other basic needs, and so much more! Donate today by clicking here. You can also complete the form below and mail it with your donation to the St. Vincent de Paul office at the address provided.
Thank you for partnering with us to serve our neighbors in need.
Your financial support changes lives!
